The Regional Chamber has a variety of committees in place that meet regularly to ensure our members are enjoying many of their benefits. For more information about a committee, please call 330-744-2131 and the extension listed next to the committee name below. Our Chamber committees available for participation include:
Area Councils - Ext. 35
The Area Council program focuses on local issues in geographically designated areas within the region. While the Regional Chamber focuses on larger-scale issues, the area councils address and provide information on more localized issues. Area Councils maintain active programs in Warren, Niles and Canfield. As part of the Area Council concept, “Good Morning” breakfast programs are held in Warren, Niles, Canfield, Boardman, Liberty, Austintown and Youngstown.
ATHENA Committee - Ext. 35
The ATHENA Committee, composed of professional and executive women from Chamber member organizations, assists in carrying out the annual
ATHENA Award program and dinner, leadership forum and scholarship program. The ATHENA program recognizes professional women attaining high career achievements, providing exceptional leadership in the community and mentoring other women in their professional paths. Each May, a recipient is named at a dinner banquet.
Golf Committee - Ext. 12
The Golf Committee assists the Programs Department in the planning and implementation of the annual Chamber Golf Outing held in June. The members of this committee play an important role in the success of one of most popular golf outings in the Mahoning Valley.
Lead Groups - Ext. 19
The Valley’s sales professionals meet monthly to foster the growth of their businesses by obtaining solid sales leads, building business relationships and supporting professional development. Participation in Lead Groups is restricted to members in good standing only, and there is a limit of one member from each business category per group:
- ChamberLink - Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
- Chamber Connections - Meets the third Tuesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.
Ambassadors Committee - Ext. 12
