Whether you’re a human resource professional or job seeker, the Regional Chamber can provide a wealth of information to help you achieve your goals. From information on labor laws to assistance with a job search, we’re here to help.
Employers
One of the many chamber benefits is access to a general reference and research service for a variety of employment issues. For example, our staff can help you access and understand:
- Ohio employment laws
- Federal employment laws
- The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA)
- Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Through the use of a variety of legal publications and professional resources, such as the Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM), we can also provide employers with:
- Sample job descriptions
- Sample company policies
Disclaimer: No human resources or legal research information provided by the Chamber is intended to
be legal advice, nor should it be relied upon or construed as legal advice.
Human Resource Professionals
The Chamber offers you an opportunity to network with your peers, benefit from the experience of others and grow in your professional knowledge and resources. Watch our calendar of events for human resources and safety council seminars. Our
Business Training Institute offers both human resource seminars, as well as small business training sessions. We look forward to seeing you at these events.
Job Seekers
The Chamber welcomes resumes from job seekers planning to relocate to the Mahoning Valley area. As a service to our Chamber members, we will send your resume to as many as 20 Chamber members in industries that you select or that are selected for you based on your experience and interests.
Human Resources Links
The Mahoning Valley Safety Council can also enrich human resource knowledge by providing information about improving employee safety. Qualified members receive discounts on workers’ compensation insurance.
