Thomas M. Humphries
President & Chief Executive Officer
Humphries has been the president and CEO of the Regional Chamber since April 1997. He oversees the operational functions for the organization and initiates, leads and facilitates the overall strategic plan of economic development and member service issues and promotes and enhances the Chamber’s image throughout the service region. Under his leadership, the organization has enjoyed unprecedented growth in both total number of members and membership services provided. The more than 2,500 member companies and organizations today represent well over 150,000 employees.

Prior to taking the helm at the Chamber, Humphries was a general manager for Sprint’s Ohio East region. He is a principal of Data Voice Systems Review, Inc., which audits, analyzes and implements telecommunications and associate services for companies across North America, and his experience in the telecommunications industry has spanned 40 years.

Humphries is a member of the Ohio Board of Regents and Ohio Local Government Innovation Fund Council, a founding member and board member of Team NEO, and past chairman of the Metro Chambers of Ohio.

Sarah A. Boyarko
Vice President, Economic Development, Business Retention & Expansion
Sarah A. Boyarko has been employed by the Regional Chamber since October 2006, serving as Vice President of Economic Development, Business Retention & Expansion since April 2012. In this role, Boyarko oversees the daily activities of the Economic Development Division and ensures that the public and business community are aware of the many economic development services provided by the Regional Chamber. Since 2009, Boyarko has had significant involvement in 28 successful economic development projects resulting in investment of more than $215 million, 2,005 new jobs and 2,839 retained or maintained jobs.

Boyarko also represents the Regional Chamber through positions on the Ohio Economic Development Association, Cleveland + Business Development Council, Northeast Ohio Trade and Economic Consortium Marketing Committee and Workforce Investment Board of Trumbull County.

Boyarko is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Mahoning Valley and a 2009 honoree of the Mahoning Valley Young Professional’s 40 Under 40 Award. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees from Youngstown State University.

Kim Calvert
Vice President, Marketing & Special Events
Calvert had been part of the Marketing and Communications team at the Regional Chamber since 2001, when she began as communications specialist. She was promoted in 2004 to manager and again in December 2006 to vice president of Marketing & Communications. In September 2008, she was made vice president of Marketing & Special Events. In this position, Calvert is responsible for overseeing all events/programs, membership and advertising sales, member services and the management of Leadership Mahoning Valley. She retains marketing duties, including the supervision of all Regional Chamber publications, the website and other marketing materials.

Before joining the Chamber, Calvert's positions included communications and marketing specialist for Phar-Mor Corporation in Youngstown and staff writer/reporter for Salem News in Salem, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in professional writing and editing and her Master of Business Administration from Youngstown State University in 1997 and 2005, respectively.

Angela Neely
Chief Financial Officer

Neely became part of the Regional Chamber in 2012. In this position, Neely is responsible for the generation of accurate, timely and meaningful financial reports that enable management and the board of directors to efficiently and effectively react to changing economic conditions.

Before joining the Chamber, Neely was the Accounting Manager and CFO for the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., and her Master of Business Administration from Murray State University in Murray, Ky.

Guy Coviello
Vice President, Government Affairs

Coviello joined the Regional Chamber in September 2014. He advocates at federal, state and local levels for issues important to the Mahoning Valley’s business community. He also promotes Chamber initiatives and advises Chamber members on government and legislative issues that affect their companies.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Coviello was editor at The Tribune Chronicle, where he worked for nearly 30 years in numerous positions. During his time at the newspaper, he and his staff received numerous reporting and writing awards, including the Associated Press Society of Ohio (APSO) General Excellence award for Best Newspaper twice. Coviello was also awarded first and second place for Investigative Reporting and Best Editorial Writer four times by APSO. He’s served as a
program director for the Paris-based World Association of Newspapers; co-founded the Youth Editors Association of America, dedicated to help newspapers and editors increase youth readership and promote journalism education; and served on the Newspaper Association of America Foundation Youth Services Committee, helping an industrywide initiative to increase youth readership and improve journalism education.


Coviello, who received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Youngstown State University, worked as a part-time journalism instructor at the university from 1998 until his appointment at the Chamber.


John Rossi
President of the Chamber Foundation

John M. Rossi, JD, joined the Chamber in October 2014 as president of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Foundation, in which he leads growth and support initiatives. Prior to assuming his current role, John served as a consultant to the Chamber, leading efforts to create the Route 422 Corridor Master Plan and build a military affairs advocacy coalition at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station. He continues to oversee these efforts in his new role.

A former associate attorney at Guarnieri and Secrest in Warren, Ohio, John is an active member of the Trumbull County and Ohio State Bar Associations. He also lectures on tort law at Kent State University – Trumbull and is experienced in teaching continuing legal education courses for licensed attorneys in a variety of areas.

John graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and received his Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law. 


Rachel Flickinger
Vice President, Sales & Services
Rachel is responsible for membership growth and development, including benefit/discount programs and services, and oversee the efforts of the membership sales and retention team, as well as the Leadership Mahoning Valley and Mahoning Valley Safety Council programs.
Flickinger spent the last 15 working in the telecommunications industry, most recently as the contact center manager for Summit Advantage in Akron, where she launched the company’s first outbound contact center, oversaw both inbound and outbound operations and received the company’s first recognition award for leadership.
Prior to working at Summit Advantage, Flickinger held various leadership positions at InfoCision, the second-largest privately held teleservices company in the nation, from 2001-2013, ultimately managing overall day-to-day operations and a team of more than 125 employees. She received numerous awards for team development and performance and contributed to the success of her division’s breaking sales records in multiple years.
The Salem resident earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Long Term Health Care Administration from Ohio University, where she also minored in Business Administration.
