This event will introduce the public to Siffrin Academy, a post-secondary option for people with developmental disabilities, and showcase Siffrin’s new building for day services at The Bridge, as well as the Mahoning Regional Office.

Siffrin Academy is a dynamic program that provides a foundation of education, discovery, self-advocacy, volunteerism and pre-vocational training. It consists of innovative curriculum and instruction to provide the proficiencies and mechanisms essential for success in the community and workforce. Attendees are required to participate and take an active role in the success of their identified personal and professional goals.

The Bridge is offered to those who choose a more leisurely program. The registered nurse on-site gives peace of mind to persons served and their families and enables person-centered support to be provided so people who are elderly and/or medically fragile can age in place without losing that connection that they have with their peers.

Siffrin, celebrating more than 40 years of excellence, has been internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1993, and is a recipient of a 100% compliance score by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
