State Representative Don Manning is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 59th District, which includes most of Mahoning County.

After attending both Springfield Local Schools and MCCTC, Manning served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Forrestal CV-59. He also has worked extensively in both the private and non-profit sectors.

Manning holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Criminal Justice and has worked in the criminal justice system as a truancy officer, detention officer, probation officer, and case manager where he has dealt directly with juvenile offenders, sex offenders, and those with mental health, behavior health, and addiction issues.

He is currently employed as the Quality and Compliance Analyst for Youth Intensive Services. His duties include investigating fraud, waste, and abuse, as well as conducting internal investigations, audits, and company training. Manning previously served as a New Middletown Village Councilman, until his election to become the State Representative in the 59th House District.

Manning has two children: a freshman at Kent State University and a High School Junior, and he currently lives in New Middletown.
