The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation, formed in 1986, serves as the 501(c)(3)-exempted supporting organization for the Regional Chamber.  We appreciate the support of a diverse group of stakeholders, including corporate sponsors, nonprofits and foundations.

The Chamber Foundation has a long tradition of supporting many of the Valley’s most prosperous economic development activities, from steel and automotive projects to energy exploration and advanced manufacturing enterprises. Most recently, we have built support to launch new programming in the areas of workforce development, commercial corridor upgrades and military affairs.

Our mission as the operating foundation of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is to generate support for efforts to provide economic development and business services that promote the business membership and the Mahoning Valley region, while emphasizing the importance of education to prepare our future workforce for an increasingly competitive and global economy.

In 2016 alone, the Regional Chamber’s Economic Development team facilitated more than $1 billion in regional economic investment, contributed to a multitude of business expansion, retention and attraction efforts and continued to advance efforts in site selection promotion.

Did you know that just $423.93 in donations will result in the creation of one job? And $1 million will create more than 1,600 jobs!

INVESTOR PROMOTION PROGRAM

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Foundation will launch an investor promotion program in 2019. Under the program, Chamber members can receive promotional services, including a Take 5 video, social media messaging and news releases regarding goods or services. In exchange, a portion of the sales of the goods and services during the promotional period would be donated to the Foundation.

“I look forward to partnering with Chamber members to create this win-win for local companies and our economic development efforts,” said Foundation President Guy Coviello. “Working together, we can continue to increase prosperity for our members and improve the quality of life in the Valley."

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that serves as the fundraising arm supporting the Regional Chamber’s economic development services. The Chamber’s economic development division serves as the region’s JobsOhio partner conducting an exhaustive business retention, expansion and attraction effort. Over the last 25 years, the Chamber’s economic development division has helped more than 500 companies with investment of $6.5 billion, resulting in 23,650 new jobs and 33,200 retained jobs.

Inquiries regarding the new promotional program should be directed to Coviello at 330-744-2131 ext. 1234 or guy@regionalchamber.com.

DRIVE IT HOME CAMPAIGN

Over the past year and a half, we have seen the loss of two shifts at GM Lordstown, and it looks like the right time for the Youngstown-Warren region and the State of Ohio to again rally their support and  encourage and assist GM’s leadership in reutilizing those shifts and the physical assets the plant offers. We have an available workforce that is ready and willing to fill those needs and a community that is proud to be home to GM Lordstown and the long line of cars that have rolled off the facility for the past 52 years.

With great pride we announce the roll out of the new “Drive it Home” coalition of local business, community and religious leaders, as well as workers, consumers and their families, coming together to urge General Motors to support growing their investment at the Lordstown Complex. Through education and advocacy, the “Drive it Home” coalition will help us protect existing manufacturing jobs in northeast Ohio. GM Lordstown is one of the largest manufacturing facilities in the world, and it is located right here, in the great State of Ohio. Together we can build our future one job at a time, support “Drive it Home” and help secure future product at the GM Lordstown plant.

Inquiries regarding this program should be directed to Coviello at 330-744-2131 ext. 1234 or guy@regionalchamber.com.
