2009 was a tough year for cities and towns across the Valley, as well as the nation and world. The City of Youngstown faced its own share of challenging times in 2009, but along the way, the City began to tell a new and positive story…one that took the world by storm. Youngstown’s being named a top 10 U.S. city to start a new business by Entrepreneur Magazine in August was just the beginning.

The future looks brighter than ever before — especially as the City anticipates the possible near-$1 billion expansion of V&M Star after establishing an unprecedented land agreement with the City of Girard last year.
Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams, named one of only eight Public Officials of the Year in 2009 by Governing Magazine, will broach these and other topics, providing an overview and update of what is happening in the City and what to expect in 2010 and beyond.
