Notable Activity
MVVE
continues to work under contract for both Youngstown and Warren
City Schools’ High School Transformation Initiative.
MVVE is also working with YSU’s Early college Program
in conjunction with Youngstown City Schools.
Coordinated
a community analysis of Warren G. Harding High School. A group
of 121 community representatives visited and evaluated several
of the schools internal processes and made recommendations
for change, elimination or enhancement. This process received
statewide attention and was showcased at the October 2005
Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) in Columbus, Ohio. It
was recommended at the (OSBA) meeting that the presentation
be submitted to the National School Board Association for
their spring 2006 meeting.
Members
of MVVE were featured on the cover of the Harwood Institute
“Stories of Change” publication for the OHSTI KnowledgeWorks
initiative.
