Regional Chamber Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is pleased to announce that Kathy Gierlach has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Kathy is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating the organization’s fiscal function and performance; evaluating and advising on long-range planning; introducing new programs, strategies and regulatory action; and providing analysis of budgets and financial reports and trends to assist the Chamber’s president and senior leaders in performing their responsibilities.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is pleased to announce that Kathy Gierlach has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Kathy is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating the organization’s fiscal function and performance; evaluating and advising on long-range planning; introducing new programs, strategies and regulatory action; and providing analysis of budgets and financial reports and trends to assist the Chamber’s president and senior leaders in performing their responsibilities.

She will also oversee the organization’s human resources, including employment/benefit/salary management and policies and procedures.

“Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge to the Chamber and has worked previously in the private, public and non-profit sectors. She is a great asset to our team and will serve the organization and our members well,” said James Dignan, president & CEO of the Regional Chamber.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Kathy worked as the county fiscal officer for the Lawrence County Drug & Alcohol Commission in New Castle, PA. She developed budgets; maintained restricted funds, special contracts and grants; administered payroll; maintained personnel records and more. She had also worked as an accountant at Robert Alan Ronca, CPA, developing client reports and account reconciliations for a variety of businesses and industries and preparing tax returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships and individuals.

The New Castle resident earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Economics, with a concentration in Accounting, from SUNY Empire State College in New York and her MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Pittsburgh.
