    The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber has again partnered with the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Greater Akron Chamber and Medina County Economic Development Corporation in Ohio and the Shenango Valley and Lawrence County chambers in Pennsylvania to build a list of companies within the respective region that are hiring and willing to offer work opportunities to displaced workers from General Motors Lordstown, Magna Seating and Comprehensive Logistics.

  • Dignan Named Chair of Ohio Metro Chambers Coalition

    Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber President & CEO James Dignan has been named chairman of the Ohio Metro Chambers Coalition, effective Jan. 1, 2019. The Coalition, comprising the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the state’s eight largest metropolitan chambers of commerce, has a combined membership of more than 25,000 businesses providing nearly 2 million jobs.

  • Ohio Tax Credit Authority Approves Job Creation Tax Credit for Youngstown Tool & Die Project

    The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.467 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for Phoenix International, Youngstown Tool & Die’s parent company, in support of its expansion in the Salt Springs Industrial Park in the City of Youngstown. The company will invest more than $12 million to construct a 60,000 square-foot manufacturing plant and equip this new facility with the latest advanced technology to service existing customers and expand market share.

    OP-ED by By Vito Abruzzino, Esq., Executive Director of the Eastern Ohio Military Affairs Commission During the past 12 to 18 months, much has happened concerning our local military assets. Both Camp Garfield (formerly Camp Ravenna) and the Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS) have had, arguably, their best year in more than a decade. To that end, the community as a whole, our state legislative leaders and our federal delegation have all contributed to their recent successes, with a nice “push” from the Youngstown /Warren Regional Chamber’s advocacy arm, the Eastern Ohio Military Affairs Commission (EOMAC). Where we go from here largely depends on staying the course and continuing to ring the bell for our local military installations.

  • Lordstown Energy Center Contributes $15,000 to “Drive It Home Ohio” Campaign
