The Chamber's Solicitations Review Committee advises the membership about non-profit (501)(C)(3) organizations that have indicated plans to solicit financial support from the business community. Based on established criteria, each organization and its fund raising goals are reviewed.

To join the nationwide health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. It does so through research, education and service.

The American Red Cross provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

BALLET WESTERN RESERVE
To provide the highest quality dance instruction to more than 200 residents of the Mahoning Valley and surrounding area.

Beatitude House, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters, is committed to disadvantaged women and children in the Mahoning Valley. In an atmosphere of care and compassion, the programs focus on counseling to promote self-development and education to obtain needed skills

To help persons with disabilities or special needs live with Dignity, Equality and Independence

FORUM HEALTH
Forum Health plans to spend $89 million to add and improve facilities in Youngstown, Boardman and Warren. The project will be funded by a bond issue, increased income and a $12 million fundraising campaign.

HOSPICE OF THE VALLEY
To care for the terminally ill patients and their loved ones in Mahoning, Trumbull & Columbiana counties

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF MAHONING VALLEY
To ensure that every child in America has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system.

KOREAN WAR VETERANS ASSN.
To raise sufficient funds to build a memorial to honor those who have made the greatest sacrifice anyone could for their country. For everyone in the area who was killed or still missing in Korea

MAHONING VALLEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Founded in 1875, the Historical Society promotes knowledge and discovery of Mahoning Valley history so that the community understands the implications and importance of the lives of the people who have inhabited the Valley from earliest times to the present.

MARCH OF DIMES
To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.

NEOUCOM FOUNDATION
To assist NEOUCOM by providing enhanced support for education, research and service in medicine

NORTHEAST OHIO LEGAL SERVICES
To use all methods of legal advocacy and representation to assist the poor in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Wayne counties address their legal rights and concerns in civil matters. The services are free and funded through public and private sources.

OHIO BUSINESS WEEK FOUNDATION
To educate youths on the benefits and principles of the free enterprise system.

OHIO FOUNDATION OF INDEPENDENT COLLEGES
To raise gift income from corporations and foundations for student scholarships and operating budgets of member colleges and universities.
GOAL: Youngstown/Warren area goal is $150,000, from businesses and foundations. Budget statewide is $1,623,628.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF MAHONING VALLEY
To assured that people are empowered to make life long choices about their personal health, relationships and families by providing high-quality, accessible reproductive health care, advocacy and educational services.

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK
To relieve hunger by acquisition and distribution of food, advocacy and education.

ST. MARK’S LUTHERAN CHURCH

The Emmaus Roadhouse Youth Recreation Center

The Youth Center is for youth 9-18 years regardless of religious affiliation. It is open Saturday from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. for 9-12 year olds and 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. for 13-18 year olds. The money will be used for computer instruction to increase familiarity with industry standard software and programs of interest to parents as well as youth.

To increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.

UNITED WAY – YOUNGSTOWN AND MAHONING VALLEY
To strengthen the Mahoning Valley by rallying the community to develop resources for addressing critical human needs.
