Given its importance in our local economy, the Regional Chamber is committed to assisting companies with international trade whether attracting foreign direct investment or exploring exporting opportunities.

Whether you or your freight forwarder complete the EEI filing on the ACE system, accurate and correct reporting is mandatory for all U.S. exports.
The responsibility of intentional or unintentional mistakes is always the exporter's responsibility.

The Bureau of Industry & Security (BIS), the State Department, and the U.S. Census Bureau have the complete authority to access your data, review and monitor any errors, licenses, end-user information and much more to ensure exporters are in compliance. TRADE MISSION TO THAILAND & VIETNAM

MARCH 22-30, 2019

Join the Ohio-Pennsylvania Stateline Export Initiative (OPEI) for an international trade mission to Thailand and Vietnam. OPEI aims to market Ohio and Pennsylvania products and services to the world to increase industry exports.

  • Thailand and Vietnam rely on Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania industries and services to grow their economies.
  • In 2017, trade reached $5.4 billion between Ohio/Pennsylvania and Thailand/Vietnam.
  • Thailand ranks as the U.S.’s ninth largest export destination among Asian countries. U.S. exports to Vietnam grew by 43.2 percent in 2016, the largest increase of the top 50 U.S. export markets.

Ohio-Pennsylvania Stateline Export Initiative

Focused on growing exports along with building foreign direct investment in the region, this ten-county program was founded in collaboration by the Regional Chamber, Youngstown State University-Export Assistance Network Office and Northwest Commission of Pennsylvania.

The ten counties border the Ohio and Pennsylvania state line and include Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull in Ohio and Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Lawrence and Mercer in Pennsylvania.

The initiative offers programs and direct assistance specifically geared toward growing exports. Information services are also provided to assist foreign companies with their investment into the 10-county region.
