Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and Weathersfield officials are seeking feedback and insight from residents and businesses in the township to analyze opportunities for growth there and are asking both to provide their opinions by completing a survey online.
The information gathered will help Weathersfield Township Trustees, who contracted with the Regional Chamber in 2016 for economic development, advocacy and marketing services, to examine—with the Chamber team—the potential for additional development and economic wellbeing.
Township Trustee Chairman Gil Blair said, “Weathersfield has begun to establish its identity, and we are now in a position to identify the opportunities that our community has to offer. We would like everyone’s input in planning our future.”
A blend of multiple choice and open-ended questions, the survey focuses on the township’s assets, quality of life, potential visual and infrastructure improvements and more. Some specific questions ask how Weathersfield may better serve the business and residential communities, what the most important opportunity in the next five years may be and how the commercial and business corridors and parks may be improved.
Sarah Boyarko, senior vice president of Economic Development at the Regional Chamber, noted, “This input is important to the retention and growth of the business community, as well as the residents of Weathersfield, and will be supportive to the long-term success of the Township.”
All answers/comments will remain confidential and be reported only in an aggregate format. All participants who provide contact info at the conclusion of the survey will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to Pho Viez.
The survey, which may be accessed here or in the Economic Development section at regionalchamber.com, closes Dec. 30. Participants who wish to offer comments directly instead of by survey may contact Sarah Boyarko, senior vice president of the Regional Chamber, at 330.744.2131, ext. 1108, or Sarah@regionalchamber.com.
