The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber has compiled a list of companies locally and across the country that are hiring and willing to offer work opportunities to displaced workers from Falcon Transport.
The list will be distributed to those employees who may be looking for other employment and can fill available positions.
Marcy Angelo, the Chamber’s manager of Business Development and workforce initiative JobsNow, said, “While we understand that not all displaced workers live in the Mahoning Valley, we realize the importance of marketing employment opportunities to those affected by the Falcon Transport closure. The Chamber is a resource for these individuals and companies, and as we continue to assist our companies facing workforce challenges, this is one avenue of support.”
She went on to say that the list is just a sampling of employment opportunities in the region and U.S. The Regional Chamber continues to receive phone calls from trucking and logistics companies that are hiring. Although several companies do not have headquarters in the Mahoning Valley, their trucks travel through the region, and/or the companies have terminals here, which provides options for the displaced workers.
