The Regional Chamber and partner MAGNET will honor and present Quality Switch of Newton Falls with the third annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award at the Chamber's Economic Forecast breakfast on Nov. 13 at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.

Established in 1956, Quality Switch is a family-owned-and-operated company that designs and manufactures switches for use inside electrical transformers on utility power grids and in industrial power supplies. The engineering-oriented company continues to develop unique abilities in design and manufacturing to enable the company to compete both domestically and internationally, including its expansion into higher voltage applications with the opening of the Horace H. Sewell High Voltage Testing & Research Center in 2016.

Earlier this year, Quality Switch was one of six companies to be honored with the President's "E" Star Award—the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports.

Sarah Boyarko, COO at the Regional Chamber, said, "We are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize such a longstanding and successful company in our market. Quality Switch continues to grow year after year, all while improving the quality and reliability of its products. Because they work to adapt their products to align with their customers' processes, Quality Switch has experienced greater opportunity in both the domestic and international markets."

Quality Switch was chosen to receive the Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which focuses on a company's longevity in business, growth, product innovation and achievement, from among nine nominations.

The Economic Forecast breakfast, sponsored by First National Bank, will feature keynote speakers Bob Paduchik, Ohio chairman of Donald J. Trump for President, and Rick Ungar, progressive radio talk show host of "The Rick Ungar Show," who will join to give their perspectives on the 2020 Presidential Election via a humorous and entertaining presentation. First National's Chris Cwiklinski, CFA, senior vice president and director of Portfolio Management for FNB Wealth Management's Cleveland Region, will also give an update on the state of the economy on the local, regional and national levels.
