The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is pleased to announce the promotion of two staffers, as well as the hiring of a new executive coordinator.
-Becky Litowitz has been named director of Member Services. She will take on a greater role in managing the organization’s cost-saving programs and services for members, including healthcare, energy, shipping, office supplies and more, while continuing to engage with the Chamber’s near-2,400 members and assist with their needs.
Litowitz, who has been with the organization since 1998, previously served as customer service manager. She maintains members’ account information, has customized thousands of contact lists for members’ use and offers one-on-one assistance to ensure businesses take full advantage of the benefits membership comprises. She also works with and supports the Chamber’s account executives in their efforts to join new members.
The Boardman resident graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from Youngstown State University and is also a graduate of the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center’s Adult Education program for Professional Practices. Litowitz, who has long been involved with Job’s Daughters International, and husband Patrick enjoy spending time with daughter Addie and son-in-law Patrick.
-Shea MacMillan has been named director of Economic Development Projects. Since joining the Chamber in November 2017, he has managed a total of 11 expansion and attraction projects, resulting in more than $2.3 billion of investment in real estate and machinery and equipment, the creation of 1,215 new jobs and the retention of 587 positions. He is also currently managing another 12 projects that could result in $51 million of investment and 425 new jobs in the next 12-24 months.
MacMillan's additional responsibilities include populating the two-county available property list for JobsOhio, presenting more than 200 industrial and commercial properties and management of the Chamber's economic impact analysis service.
Prior to receiving his Ohio Certified Economic Development credential earlier this year, MacMillan was instrumental in the creation of the Mahoning Valley Rail Commission in 2019, which resulted in an analysis of the current rail infrastructure and the industrial properties tied to these lines. This resource will support the maintenance of existing infrastructure and the businesses that rely on it, as well as generate new rail usage and identify necessary upgrades.
The lifelong resident of Niles graduated Magna Cum Laude from Youngstown State University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
-Jenna Tyger joined the Chamber team as executive coordinator on Nov. 1. She will provide a range of administrative and managerial support to the president & CEO while also overseeing office management, preparing reports and data analysis, coordinating various projects and working with internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
Tyger brings a wealth of knowledge to the Regional Chamber, having spent seven years working as a senior technical writer and editor at the Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry, Pa., before joining the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County as executive administrative assistant and website administrator and Farm and Dairy/Lyle Publishing as ad coordinator and copy editor. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Youngstown State University and a Master of Professional Writing from Chatham University.
Tyger, husband Chris and their daughter Sadie live in New Waterford.
