  • Youngstown-Warren Region Realized More Than $216 Million of Investment in 2017

    Private companies invested more than $216 million in the Valley last year, many with the help of regional economic development agencies. According to data compiled by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and its economic development partners and published in the 2017 Economic Development Report Card (included in email), a total of 367 projects resulted in $216,256,009 invested, 926 new jobs and another 2,434 retained jobs. In 2016, 164 company projects resulted in nearly $1,137,203,886 of investment and 1,323 new jobs.

  • Leadership Mahoning Valley Applications Available

    Applications for the Leadership Mahoning Valley class of 2018-2019 are now available and may be submitted through June 1, 2018. Created to identify individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who demonstrate leadership talent and community commitment, the program provides adult community leaders with a general overview of the Mahoning Valley, an opportunity for increased understanding of key community issues and the potential to develop effective working relationships with other civic leaders.

  • Regional Chamber Launching Drug Testing Component of JobsNow Program

    The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is launching to its membership the free drug testing component of its JobsNow program, in partnership with Steward Health Care. The Chamber’s JobsNow workforce initiative was created in 2015 to help close the gap between the demand for skilled labor and the supply of workforce-ready employees in the Valley. Skilled employees are needed to meet the growing demand for manufacturing, communications and energy jobs in the region

  • Chamber Hosts SiteOhio Group, Tours Valley Property That Is Nearly Certified

  • Regional Chamber Board Opposes HB 193

    The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s Board of Directors voted to oppose Ohio House Bill 193, which would prohibit an employer from taking an adverse employment action against a person who has not been or will not be vaccinated against influenza.
