ELLWOOD GROUP INCORPORATED (EGI), a leading supplier of world-class, high-quality metals and custom-engineered components, announced today the construction of a new aluminum casting facility at its Ellwood Engineered Castings (EEC) site in Hubbard, OH. The new 70,000 square-foot Ellwood Aluminum manufacturing plant will expand the materials production capabilities of the 108-year-old company for the first time beyond its historical focus, steel, to better serve the tool and die, aerospace forging, plate mill rolling, and extrusion industries.

Private companies invested more than $216 million in the Valley last year, many with the help of regional economic development agencies. According to data compiled by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and its economic development partners and published in the 2017 Economic Development Report Card (included in email), a total of 367 projects resulted in $216,256,009 invested, 926 new jobs and another 2,434 retained jobs. In 2016, 164 company projects resulted in nearly $1,137,203,886 of investment and 1,323 new jobs.

Created to identify individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who demonstrate leadership talent and community commitment, the program provides adult community leaders with a general overview of the Mahoning Valley, an opportunity for increased understanding of key community issues and the potential to develop effective working relationships with other civic leaders.
